Soap-making is made fun when you know the basics and apply them to appealing shapes. Here are examples of soaps made fun.
Heart Soaps Materials: One bar of blue glycerin soap (Bar # 1 or main bar) A second bar of lye soap in a pink color (Bar # 2) 3-4 drops clear glycerins melt and pour soap Small metal cookie cutter 1. Decide that the bar of blue glycerin soap is to be the main bar and the lye soap of pink color is to be used to cut out the heart. 2. Cut out a small soap of pink lye soap into hearts using a metal cookie cutter. 3. Melt a small amount of clear glycerin melt-and-pour soap. Using a plastic dropper, drop 3-4 drops of glycerin onto bar # 1 and carefully exert pressure the heart against the melted glycerin. Wait for exactly 10 minutes.
Fish Design Soaps Materials: Scraps of bar soaps Small metal cookie cutters Little transparent bags Netting for wrapping 1. Slice a bar of soap into1/4 layers. 2. Set small metal cookie cutters and punch out fish designs. 3. Push soap out precisely and arrange on a bathroom dish. 4. You can make many colors of soap out of these. 5. Place them in a box with netting. 6. Tie a ribbon on top of the netting for wrapping.
Bath Jelly Recipe by Amy Vollmer cup melted see-thru Melt and Pour Base 2 cups water 1 envelope unflavored Gelatin oz Germaben II Fragrance Oil 3 or 4 Colorants 3 or 4 small cases
Procedure: Pour envelope of Gelatin into a bowl and set aside. Microwave 2 cups of water to boil. Softly pour into the bowl of gelatin and stir until completely dissolved. While waiting for it to dissolve, melt the Melt and Pour in the microwave. To the melted melt and Pour, blend in fragrance oil. Slowly pour the soap into the Gelatin and stir moderately. When completely mixed, place into individual containers. Color. Refrigerate uncovered containers until it is really firm.
To make soaps look fabulous, wrap them with beautifully painted boxes, tied with neon colored ribbons. A combination of brown box and neon green ribbons look so eye catching. To sell them, place on neat baskets paired with glasses and tubes of perfume. For Fish Design Soaps, you can use scraps of whitening bar soap to make dark skin fairer.
