Reasons For A Destination Weddings

By Paul Black

A destination wedding is an exciting and practical solution for many couples. The combination of a trip and an event can help them save money and give their guests a good time all at once. There are many popular places including resorts that cater to this type of clientele.

Some bridal couples do not feel that it is necessary to have a traditional type o ceremony. Some, in fact, like the idea of a contemporary event where they spend their hard earned money on traveling the world and exploring rather than on ceremony and reception expenses. A lot of guests like the idea of taking a trip in order to go to the affair.

A couple should be mindful of the extra expenses that guests might incur in creating this type of ceremony. The cost of plane tickets, hotel rooms and other travel expenses may not be something that local friends and family are willing to pay. But some loved-ones might welcome the chance to take a trip to an exciting place to watch the ceremony and participate in the activities.

The bridal couple might want to go to visit an exotic locale that they have always wanted to see like a quiet beach or a thriving city. The couple can save some money by combining their ceremony with their honeymoon. They might have fewer guests at their ceremony and their reception than they would if they did it locally because many folks won't feel like or be able to travel and this will reduce their expenses on favors, food, programs and other expenses.

A lot of places have facilities like chapels or resorts are are accustomed to creating beautiful and meaningful ceremonies. They are likely to have package deals available that include a block of rooms to stay in, a ceremony and some catering services that all help the couple put on an unbelievable affair. They could even have an event planner there to help the couple in all aspects of the event.

Other areas, particularly more remote places, may not have packages or planners, but can still offer a beautiful backdrop for a ceremony and reception. A couple might have to bring their own clothes and people to create the event such as hair-dressers, photographers and maybe even a minister or officiant. This might add to the cost of creating the ceremony in a remote location.

A destination wedding can be an exciting and even a less pricey solution for the adventuresome couple. By making their event a combo honeymoon and ceremony they can save a little money. They should know that some of their guests will not be receptive to traveling and the couple should know that this might mean that they will have fewer guests.
